Laying the foundation of health

The first 1000 days of our lives lay the foundation for health starting from conception until the age of two. The last 540 days are when we introduce foods and eating routines. New flavors and textures take the scene and as a child, you get to know the foods you will eat for the rest of your life.

Bringing better baby food to market

When Malin Bruset (nutritionist and author) had her first child, she felt that there was widespread uncertainty about baby food among parents and also a lack of advice around diet and nutrition from child health care centers in Scandinavia. This combined with many searches on Google trying to find the answers fuelled the uncertainty in parents. After working with parents for several years, Malin observed their frustration over not having a fresher alternative when they don’t have the time or energy to cook from scratch. From this, the idea of GroGro was born. At the beginning of 2021, GroGro launched in the Swedish and Norwegian market with fresh, cold-pressed baby food. With the goal of being the best alternative to homemade cooking. Baby food is so important and can be so simple, with just a little more knowledge.

The launch of The International Baby Food Day

This is the reason why GroGro launched the International Baby Food Day on April 17, 2021. For the first time in history, the goal is to focus on baby food and help raise the level of knowledge for everyone who has a daily life that entails caring for children. The first year GroGro arranged a free digital event with exciting lecturers who are all experts on baby food in one way or another. Topics covered during the event were food quality, the introduction of food, the important first year of life, ecology, allergies, and practical tips for a simpler everyday life with more moments to truly enjoy food.
